Do You Watch FIFA World Cup Soccer?
The FIFA World Cup is one of the world's largest sporting events. Held every 4 years, the FIFA World Cup is the world's most prestigious soccer competition and includes 32 national teams in a tournament that plays over one month.
The 32 teams qualify to play in the World Cup by advancing through qualification rounds in one of six continental confederations. These six confederations include over 200 countries. The host team (Qatar in 2022) automatically qualifies for the event. And in 2026 the field is scheduled to increase to 48 teams, making the competition that will be held in North America even more intense.
Matches draw deep national interest and can figuratively and literally shut down a country when the Match is being played and shown on TV. People crowd into restaurants, bars, homes and/or stadiums to watch and cheer together. What we want to know is if you watch the FIFA World Cup?
