Do you agree with taking money from the parks and having taxpayers pay for Trump’s military parade? President Trump has been talking about having a military parade for a very long time now. At least as far back to his trip to France when he enjoyed the Bastille Day Parade as a personal guest of French President Emmanuel Macron.
On July 4th, 2019, President Trump finally got his wish and delivered a speech to his supporters complete with military tanks and flyovers of the event.
Millions of taxpayer dollars that had been apportioned to the Federal Parks Department were repurposed without Congressional approval to pay for the event. The City of Washington D.C. will also incur increased costs for the event and they are still trying to recoup costs from President Trump’s 2018 Inauguration Celebration.
What do you think? Is President Trump’s Military style parade something that benefits all Americans and US Taxpayers or is it the publicly funding ego feeding of the President who should pay for it himself? We want to hear what you think on this hotly contested topic so be sure to vote above and let us know what your answer is.
